It's Time to Get Inky!

This is my first attempt using quill and ink. I chose to do a portrait as my first try because I wanted to challenge myself. I added the blobs of ink just to see whether or not it would look good, I now feel it would look better with a more decorative style portrait like the artist Minjae Lee's work. His stlye is something I would like to attempt myself very soon as he's one of my favourite illustrative artists.

Photos & Editing

Here is a photograph I took earlier today.
I have taken it into Photoshop, sharpened it,
de-saturated it and adjusted the contrast levels
to create a more ominous atmosphere to the photo.

Fine Writer to Photoshop

Here is a portrait of my friend Aimee. I produced this using fine writer, and painting water on to create some shading; I also used some grey water colour to enhance the shaded areas. I then took it into Photoshop, added some textures and adjusted the colour balance.

Burn The Flag - The Beginning is Near

Here is an album cover I produced for a local band called 'Burn The Flag'. I produced it using different textures and filters on Photoshop  drawing on Photoshop with a Photoshop tablet and adding text and final colorization.https://www.facebook.com/Burntheflagofficial?fref=ts They haven't uploaded finished pieces yet but check them out :)

Summery Landscapes

I did some photography in the peak district in the summer 2012. These three are my favorite photos because I think they capture how beautiful the place was.

Dressy Pot

Here is a pot I produced in ceramics. I was given the theme of ladies fashion to design the pot with, so I chose to make it follow the figure of a woman and also follow the theme of fashion with a dress-type appearance. I made it overlapping thin layers of clay that I had put a pattern into using a knife. I chose blue and brown glazes so it would clash and go well at the same time, like how some fashion shouldn't really work but it does.
